Twyford Scarecrow Trail 2025- 27th October - 1st November

We are excited to announce that the Twyford Scarecrow Trail is back this October half term! Entries for scarecrows are now closed, but here is everything you need to know about how to enjoy the trail! 

​

From Monday 27th October to Saturday 1st November, our village will be transformed into a wonderful trail of creative scarecrows for everyone to enjoy. This will be our third year running the trail, organised jointly by the Polehampton Infant and Junior Schools PTA and The Colleton School PTA, and we can’t wait to see the streets of Twyford come alive again. This year the theme is 'T for Twyford' so you look out for celebrities, animals, book characters and professions all starting with T!

Scarecrows will be on display each day of the trail from 9am - 5pm.

​

To take part in the trail all you need to do is purchase a trail map for £3.  Maps are available to collect from:

 

Ola Coffee Co: The Old Grain Store, Waltham Road, Twyford, RG10 9EE (8am - 3pm Mon - Fri, 8am - 2:30pm Sat & Sun)

Grapevine Estate Agents:18 London Rd, Twyford, Reading RG10 9ER (9am - 5pm Mon - Fri, 9am - 4pm Sat)

Once you have your map, all you have to do is follow the trail!  You can walk, scoot, bike or run- just please stick to public walk ways and move around safely!  You don't have to complete the trail in one go, many people find it easier to spread it out over a few days! Once you have completed the trail you can return your map to Ola or Grapevine to collect your reward.  Don't forget to vote for your favourite scarecrow!
