Teddy Tombola at the Twyford Together Fun Run – A Heartwarming Community Effort

On a sunny Sunday at the Twyford Together Fun Run, the Polehampton PTA teamed up with our friends at the Colleton PTA to run a much-loved Teddy Tombola stall — and what a day it was!

Set-up was led by our Co-Chair, John Hellmuth, with fantastic support from his wife Kate and daughter Zoe, who brought great energy and enthusiasm. The Colleton PTA kindly provided extra cuddly toys and much-needed help on the day, making it a true team effort.

The Fun Run itself was a brilliant community event, buzzing with families, runners, and supporters. It was a real pleasure for our PTA to be part of it, and we’re keen to keep building these connections with our local community.

As always, the Teddy Tombola proved a hit with the children — who can resist the chance to win a fluffy friend? We raised £112 in total, which we split evenly with Colleton PTA. While the fundraising total wasn’t quite what we’d hoped for, the real win was in raising awareness for our school, strengthening ties with another local PTA, and engaging with the wider Twyford community.

It was a positive experience for the team, and the funds we did raise will still go a long way in supporting our work. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, or helped out — we’re already looking forward to the next one!
